AS Announces New Nonstop Service Between PAE and HNL

https://investor.alaskaair.com/news-...lu-and-seattle

Alaska Airlines is celebrating more aloha with new nonstop service between Seattle/Everett and Honolulu starting this fall – our first flight connecting Paine Field-Snohomish County Airport and the Hawaiian Islands. The daily, year-round flight begins on Nov. 17, just in time for travel during the holiday season. For a limited time, introductory fares between Seattle/Everett and Honolulu start at $149 one-way along with Mileage Plan award redemptions as low as 12,500 miles one-way. Tickets are available for purchase now at alaskaair.com. This is our first new route to Honolulu in more than a decade and it will be the longest flight we will operate from Paine Field.

Looks like the outbound is at 9:10 a.m. and the return is a red eye departing at 11:25 p.m.

Ticket prices for the inaugural flight are already over $600.

Wonder if they're hoping this'll get the folks who would fly BLI-HNL previously?

I was sort of hoping that BLI-HNL would come back at some point.

This is great news! The experience traveling through Paine Field is so much better than through SEA.

placeholder seat map until they actually decide on the equipment ... prevents a lot of seat selection/reselection conflicts

I'm impressed this will be the 6th daily flight to HNL from the greater SEA area this winter. On AS alone!

Waiting for the "popup" AS lounge in PAE

I heard the PAE gate area was pretty "lounge like" even without a lounge.

Damn, but still pricy as the SEA flights for christmas. Even with fully empty plane, it is priced as high as the SEA flights. Even award space is peak pricing 65000 each way.

If it's the same price as SEA, I'd stick with SEA and enjoy a visit to the N lounge pre-flight.

PAE tends to be more expensive than SEA, so no surprise there.

Paine Field terminal is nicer then the lounge at SeaTac, in my opinion.
