Can you summarize what this is about, for those of us who don’t partake in Instagram or similar?

or for those of us who do IG but don’t want to watch a talking egg’s opinion

seems Alaska airlines used to hand out prayer cards on meal trays. Stopped in 2012. Some people miss them and want them back

apologies for a Fox News link but the text is identical for all sources and this is the only one with a picture

You've had an account here for nearly 8 1/2 years and this is just your 12th post. That lends some serious gravitas to your recommendation, but we'll see. Uh, talking egg?

Well, the Internet has definitely been used in worse ways, but thank you for checking it AND for the confirmation that there's still no need for me to have an Instagram account.

Egg shaming? Not very welcoming. Or is it a yolk?

Please no. I don't understand why religious folks can't just keep it to themselves.

To keep on topic, was Alaska Airlines run by a religious person?

Regardless of my personal feeling (strongly opposed) this just doesn’t make sense from a business standpoint. There may be some folks who would appreciate it and switch business to AS but, especially in Seattle, that’s going to be far outnumbered by those who prefer to not have religion intrude on their daily lives and would find an alternative airline.

While I agree I would rather not see a prayer card on my tray and am more likely to be in the offended camp than others, that doesn't mean they couldn't do something similar that isn't religious at all that had a similar effect. Cards with photos of AS destinations w/ some sort of related, maybe even punny positive affirmation or compliment, like what you might find in a fortune cookie would be kind of cute.. but probably would end up just being a waste of paper. Or they could go back to something like the VX amenity kits, but we all saw how profitable that was for them, so imagine we're left with the snack basket (when it shows up)..

Bruce Kennedy, AAG CEO in the '80s was a devout Christian. I believe he was behind the cards originally.
