Are those reporting no soup at SFO looking for the soup in the right place? When I’m there SFO always has one soup tureen located against the wall next to the soda machine while the Mac and cheese and BBQ pork (or other entree) is on the food/salad bar.
I’m asking as during my last trip through a woman asked me where I got the soup and do you have to ask for it special from the staff (I had to show her where it was) and because the soup always seems to be there for me in the afternoons and evening.

SFO around noon Saturday (not sure if yesterday or today): Thai chicken soup; pulled pork (for sliders, not soup); macaroni and cheese (also not soup)

The chicken soup was okay. I could have lived without it.

SEA D Today had the Clam Chowder, Red Pepper Gouda, and Tomato Basil so at least there was variety.
