All flights on single reservation:
Status: 75K
Booking class O
Booked: 12/5/21
Schedule change 1/23/22 - Lost SEA-LAX-ANC, swapped to SEA-PDX-ANC I assume this had effect on being lower on the upgrade list for replacement flights.
2/9/22
BOS-SEA
AS 840
cleared upgrade right around online check-in. There were quite a few empty seats to choose from. I was wondering why I didn't see myself on upgrade list. That's when I notice I had cleared. I went back to wait-list and refreshed and several other names also dropped off.
2/9/22
SEA-PDX
AS 117
#7 of 42, enjoyed my premium seat
2/9/22
PDX-ANC
AS 197
#5 of 38, enjoyed my premium seat
2/10/22
ANC-PDX
AS 130
#12 of 47, enjoyed my premium seat
2/10/22
PDX-HNL
AS 889
Upgraded just after online check-in. Seat was auto assigned. I'm sure being solo traveler must have bumper me up above all the couples on the wait-list. 11 left on wait-list
2/14/22
HNL-SAN
AS 892
upgraded 2 days in advance. There were only 2 seats taken on seat map when I went to select mine..now 2 hours left until departure. The last remaing person on the upgrade list got the seat next to mine. I figured leaving hawaii on Valentine's day would be an easy one.
2/15/22
SAN-MCO
AS 760
#2 of 8 on the upgrade list, at least the middle seat pax was a no show.
2/15/22
MCO-SAN
AS 463
upgraded around online check in open.
2/16/22
SAN-BOS
AS 1048
Initially #1 of 12 for 3 seats. Cleared after check in which meant my reservation was screwed up. boarding agent had a hard time getting me checked in luckily to had boaridng pass already to get through security. The odd part of the whole thing boardining pass was given to me through the app 48 hours before the flight.

Looks like Gold is the new MVP. Glad I took a mileage run at the end of the year to make 100k.

Agreed! Mileage runs are the new normal. I see a few have already crossed 100k for 2023 -- congrats! Three of us hit 75k for 2023 last week on the same flight. Seems we are all very goal oriented... and a bit crazy.

Actually did a SDC so I could sleep in a little (but this was after I bumped my fare down to O class to save $$)

Being 0/3 on upgrades makes me think Gold ain't useful. Was not worth the mileage run to qualify.

Purchased SJD-PDX kind of last minute when we decided to do midwinter break in San Jose del Cabo this week. It was hundreds cheaper than SJD-SEA and empty in main cabin elite and premium seating.
5 MVPs, all on separate PNRs, Premium seats were available earlier this week, we cleared to F about an hour after check in. Would have loved to stay a couple more days, but heading back on Friday in F for $225 per pax is hard to beat. The 10pm drive back to seattle may have me thinking twice about flying into PDX ;-)

Time the upgrade cleared or position on waitlist if didn't clear: T-18

Note: 19 still on waiting list ( if I read correctly). I hope they hold the (only) NS route and open up more, the alternative is UA via IAD ... AS, are you listening ?
And the flight are fully booked with 3 seats left ...

Flight Number: AS 1151

Fare Class: G
Time the upgrade cleared or position on waitlist if didn't clear: somewhere between T-96 and T-120
Date of ticket purchase: 2/2/22
No email, just checked the app and saw that leg was upgraded. No luck on SFO to SEA yet, but it looks very full. Also going to try for an SDC anyway, so we'll see what happens!

4 out of 13. Moved to premium at gate from exit row seat.
I agree with whomever said that MVPG isn't up to much these days. I also can't ever find MVPG guest upgrades on the flights I am booking (just booked flights for mid-April PDX-EWR and back)

Semi mileage run this week: staying the night in SF
EWR-SFO (G fare)
SFO-JFK (G fare)
I think both cleared near/around the 75K window; although EWR to SFO cleared later.
Had some issue selecting new seat on the outbound; also cannot pre-order food on the EWR to SFO segment. No issues on the SFO to JFK segment.
