60% off AS miles til 02/14

  • Transactions must be completed between 6:00 AM PST January 20, 2021 and 11:59 PM PST February 14, 2021 to be eligible for bonus miles.
  • Miles are purchased from Points.com Inc. for a cost of $27.50 per 1,000 miles, plus a 7.5% Federal Excise Tax*, GST/HST for Canadian residents and QST for Quebec residents.
  • Miles are non-refundable and do not count toward MVP and MVP/Gold status.
  • You may purchase and gift Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles in increments of 1,000 miles up to 60,000 miles, and in increments of 5,000 miles up to a maximum of 100,000 miles per transaction.
  • MVP, MVP Gold and MVP Gold 75K Mileage Plan member (Elite Member) accounts have no annual limit on the number of miles which may be purchased or gifted through Points.com. If you are not an Elite Member, your account may only be credited up to a maximum total of 150,000 miles acquired through Points.com in a calendar year, whether purchased by you or gifted to you.
  • Offer is subject to change and all terms and conditions of the Mileage Plan Program apply.
  • *Points.com Inc. is collecting Federal Excise Tax on behalf of Alaska Airlines Inc.
  • Alaska Airlines Inc. has the obligation to collect Federal Excise Tax and remit the tax to the appropriate government agency.

Not sure if this is targeted, but I think this matches the all time high for bonus sales.

Makes a OW JL/CX F a bit over 1200$ + fees if you bought outright.

EK F would be $2400 OW too if one is so inclined to book before March

Good to know, but I cringe every time there is announcement of AS miles via Points.com, as we always have someone from abroad who purchase in large quantity, and encounter difficulty using the miles due to AS security suspending and/or investigating account(s). Hopefully, people can understsand potential delay.....

I've always had a hard time finding any value in buying miles - At $27.50 (+7.5% tax) a flight I picked at random that can be purchsed for $108 ends up costing $220. And this is a sale? What am I missing? I just used PDX > LAS and the fare in Main (K?). In past bookings this seems about normal for miles v. $$ with each mile being worth around $.14/ea.

Of course, then factor in no miles on the award flight and I'm losing even more than if I just purchased with $$. I actually don't find much value in AS RDM miles for me personally. They are a great tool to use for buying my wife and kids tickets, though.

There are some usefulness to domestic awards at this rate if you plan to do a stopover and you can get quirky routing sometimes.

But most of the time it’s only worth it if you have a premium partner award redemption in mind

May want to update the thread title.

It's not 60% off, it's up to 60% bonus miles... Big difference.

Seems that not everyone is being offered "up to 60%". My offer is "up to 50%".

Hi -

With the extra 60%, it comes in at around $0.015/RDM, so around $1500+/- all-in.

I would much rather spend $154 for 12,000+ RDM (around $.008/RDM) and 8,000+EQM, all while having enough room for a comfortable workspace, free snacks and free beverages.

The same 100K RDM is setting me back around $800.

As stated earlier, unless you want to try playing INTL Biz class Roulette, I would pass on any mileage purchase.

BTW, this offer has been seen many times on AA ... wonder if it is an indicator where redemption price are going.

I was offered 60%. I would rather fly than buy. I have never had a 7 figure balance in my accout as I earn & burn. I booked 15 award seats in 2020 (4 were canceled) & 22 in 2019.

https://onemileatatime.com/buy-alaska-miles/

This is rather convenient because I needed another 60k miles to book a few CX PE awards. This time when I purchased it the miles posted immediately to my accounr
