Looks like more flights to PSP

Starting in December AS will offer the following additional routes to Palm Springs
  • 1x Daily from Boise - E175
  • 5x Weekly from Remo - E175
  • 2x Daily from San Jose - E175
This is in addition to SEA/PDX/SFO and starting in January PAE. I would imagine these would be seasonal, but time will tell with Southwest starting service to PSP.

When I saw the headline "Alaska Airlines expands Palm Springs network from mid-Dec 2020," I raised an eyebrow. Then I read the details and realized it was more like "Alaska Airlines expands service at Palm Springs from mid-Dec 2020." I think it is great that they have found a market they hope will provide good revenue; it sure looks as if the industry is betting that leisure travel will return sooner than business travel. In my opinion, the Palm Springs airport is a joy to fly in and out of.

Nice to have an option besides SFO but would prefer OAK. Still SJC-PSP is better than the WN flight to ONT.

Was hoping for SMF-PSP, but this is better than nothing. I don't have a lot of confidence that Contour will be coming back to SMF, so I was hoping WN would swoop in on the route for 1x daily. Maybe down the road.

Depending on time of day, driving/amtrak Sac-OAK might be better than driving ONT-Palm Spg.
