10% off discount email (targeted?) - how to book?
So I got an email from AS this morning offering me 10% off for bookings in the first part of 2020. I just happen to be in the process of booking a flight for early Feb.
Limited-time offer: Travel between January 8 and February 13, 2020 and start the new year right with a 10% discount.* Visit one of our 115 destinations with this special offer, available only to Insider subscribers.
*Purchase must be made by October 21, 2019.
I click on the Book Now button and I get:
Service Temporarily Unavailable.
The server is unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime.
Please try again later.

This is mid day SEA time and has been happening all day since I got the email. I get the same error when I try to open the ‘Terms Apply’ link.
So? Any clues on how I can use this super special huge discount? I don’t see a discount code in the email.

Click anywhere on the big blue square that's the first item -- except don't click on the "Book Now" button itself. That's what worked for me.

Big blue “Book Now” button works for me. Gotta wonder, though - does Alaska really want its customers to call Oracle Support when their weblogic server has a problem and can’t serve their site? Someone needs to look at the configuration.
Also, link/button essentially populates the search page with a discount code. My wife and I both received the email, and our codes are different. Probably “giftable” - I assume CC would be the place to do that?

It turns out I might need to go a week later than planned which is after Feb 13. Do you think it is giftable? If I can’t use it, I’d like someone else to.

Also, at the bottom of the email it says "... This credit card program is issued and administered by Bank of America, N.A.... " so it may be that they are targeting those of us with AS Visas.

Mine says "Recipient of this Discount Code must be the purchaser or one of the travelers." So if you want to buy some tickets for someone you have a green light.

...The code is loaded into my account as "Insider Subscribers Save 10" so it should hit anyone signed up for the promo emails. I received the email about 30 minutes ago and the discount code wasn't in my account earlier this morning when I was looking at another one.

There is a restriction of Monday to Thursday, Saturday travel only for most destinations. Friday and Sunday travel is not discounted.

Just received mine as well. Notice it expires Oct 21, 2019.
Why does AS seem to love super short discounts (ie. these and 24 hour sales)? I doubt most people who receive this 10% code email on a friday night (I'm on east coast) will be rushing to book something over the weekend.
