Trying to get 5-10k miles before end of year!

Thanks!

For the zillionth time, it’s Alaska Airlines, not Alaskan.

WELCOME to Flyertalk.
normally we are a patient and understanding bunch.
But, as you can see, you hit a nerve. As a first time poster, it should have been forgiven, IMHO.
For the rest, It is Alaska Airlines and AS, not AK.

Some of the secondary markets in the Southeast such as RDU or CHS tend to have pretty good fares for the mileage earned, and due to the long distance you'll earn back much of the fare value as redeemable mileage for a future trip.

You can often find deals LAX-LIR/SJO. Further than Hawaii. Also possible for SEA-LAX-LIR return same day. Customs & Immigration are a snap for entry, security efficient for departure. I wouldn't be as confident doing same day return from SJO.

You do also see U space here and there so a good opportunity to use a GGU. Even better if you can find U SEA-LAX as connections both ways are < 4hrs allowing both segments to be upgraded with one GGU.

I ended up booking the old SEA-BOS-SEA run. I got it in the low $200s and used Chase UR points to boot. I am also adding in a couple "Portland Shuffles" to my Seattle to Dallas trips that each add about 500 EQMs. I saw I can also use SJC for about the same cost but the mileage bump is about the same.

SEA-DAL 1670 EQM one-way.
SEA-PDX-DAL 500+1626 EQM one-way.

Net increase in EQM, 456 Miles on a 129 flight. Not too bad! 😁

I used to do routinely for a little while but then the evening PDX-SEA flights turned into hell. Frequently cancelled and always out of timing. Being 75K and getting to the top of standby lists was my only saving grace, when they were flying. With the closed runway now, or morning fog, many flights are being cancelled now, so I am fearing having to do a couple of these.

Yeah - between PUW's always unreliable airport and SEA's issues of late, I've stopped being clever with my flights.
