Be careful even the “Qantas - Jetconnect “ does not qualify for points either. Luckily it was only ~1000 flown miles but I found out the hard way!

Friends don't let friends fly JQ. Nothing about that operation appeals to me- not really a baggag interline, pay everything, etc... Guess its ok if you're only doing a short hop with 7kg or less of carry on stuff. Even then I'd be wary.

First time I have read of not getting ff miles for a QF Jetconnect flight.
Qantas - Jetconnect is(was?) the 100% QF owned NZ based subsidiary. With NZ rego aircraft & NZ based crew. All Aust VH rego aircraft now on QF's Au Airline Operating certificate. A post somewhere in the BA forum (which I will find). Understand it may have closed down 31 March 2018 as a customer facing operator:. No reference to "Jetconnect" in timetables now.

“Hi ! It does not look like this segment is eligible for mileage credit since the flight was operated by JetConnect, which is not one of our partner airlines. I apologize for the inconvenience. - Samantha”

Qantas flight 163 SYD - WLG, May 4th

AS also doesn't provide any credit for BA flights in the flight number range of BA CityFlyer, which is a fully-owned BA subsidiary. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What about QantasLink segments, like the Sydney to Hobart flight on the 717?

And those flights are operated for QFLink by the independent Cobham Aviation (not owned by QF)
