Flight 764 PDX - DCA (Honor Flight)

I'm boarding flight 764 to DC and apparently it's Alaska Air's "honor flight." We have 23 veterans from various wars that Alaska is flying to DC to visit the monuments. I had no idea Alaska did this - super cool.

This is is also the first flight I've been on with the new Alaska blankets. They've also switched up the brand of bottled water from what I usually get in first class. Now it's Clear Alaskan Glacial

I've seen that ex-ANC before. I like the water better than Dasani and thought it would be a better reinforcement of their brand. Distribution might be a bit of a challenge but you can find it in Portland area grocery stores so maybe not as much these days.

Fixed it for ya. In all seriousness though. Dasani is a lame bottled water brand. Filtered municipal water from the local Coca-Cola bottling plant is not a Premium product. I like Fiji Water myself. This IS an Improvement if its more than a backfill by the caterer.

Clear Alaskan Glacial is pretty much Anchorage municipal water, but my wife swears the Anchorage tap water is some of the best tasting water she's had.

They also do private label-- "Alaska Water by Alaska Air" maybe?
