Handicapped 6 B and C

Are they still designated that way? I've got a friend who uses a wheelchair, she is flying transcon (LAX/EWR), she has NO status with AS, but AS is the only non-stop to EWR (they usually fly AA which only non-stops into JFK).

Would she and her husband have to pay the Premium Seat upcharge given these circumstances?

Would she have to call and make the reservation?

Any other advice I can give her would be appreciated.

Rumor has it that UA offers LAX-EWR nonstops an average of 8 times a day.

Bwahaha, then why did she tell me otherwise? I think maybe she wanted to take advantage of any remaining AA/AS partnership...I didn't investigate for her, I just was telling her what I knew about AS after she asked.

Thanks.
