September 2018
Alaska Airlines flight 1082

Menu

Miso Beef Salad - delicious but too small and they really lack a starch component

YEA, still see the airplane salt shakers!!!! Does seem skimpy on the beef. in the past, it was slightly larger with 3-4 slices of beef.

I had this exact same meal on a PMVX aircraft last July although we didn't get the warm nuts and my route was SEA-LAX which you would think would be catered with the same or more food than the shorter SEA-SFO route....and yeah, I agree...it's missing one of my favorite parts...the starch....I think Alaska needs to discover these cool things they have been serving on AA for years....pretzel rolls

Those were addictive. I'd always grab a second one when they came around with the bread basket again.

Has anyone had either of these and if so, how was it?

Thanks for the info. Since I've often found airline pasta to be a miss, I'll be the FT guinea pig for the beef.

This sounds like a tasty (and safe choice) especially since the sides all seem relatively "normal"....no purple rice or creamed kale.....lol....

You wouldn't go for the "grilled kabocha pumpkin"?

Lol...my dream is that someday Alaska will discover this fairly common and relatively well-accepted side called rice pilaf.
