Row 17 technically has a tiny bit more legroom--I think 16 has the same, but it's recline-limited--but I always go for 6 instead because it's still pretty spacious and I get off the plane more quickly.

Comes down to Personal preference. A solo traveler in a row 6 window would never be displaced by an ADA traveler. Generally not gonna get away with using the FC lav in Row 17. Will the AC not be reconfigured by the time you travel? In this case Row 7 is just as nice but without the tray table in the armrest

You can't jamb you iPhone or tablet in the top of the magazine pocket in 6, so on a long haul it's more comfortable to watch a movie in any other row vs on a stand on the food tray in 6, sometimes with the curtain hanging in your face.

Row 6. View of something other than the wing out the window, never out of your choice of meal, off the plane quickly. I have never been displaced by a handicapped person in years of travel sitting in row 6.

Exit row - never have to deal with a baby or kid in the row, which sometimes is nice
Row 6 - C & D have limited space for carry on so usually gives you some extra space by putting it in the overhead, and you get off earlier/get your drinks served earlier, but airbag seatbelt and less seat width because of tray table, also only 2 power ports for 3 people

the windows on 17 are also having the headrest movement restricted as well -- keep that in mind. Was just on a brand new 900 and post the pic in another group, seems like no one has seen it (or we just aren't flying in Y that much..)

Always Row 6 (specially right side which isn't handicapped risk).
You get off the plane early, you don't have to put your laptop bag away, you're right behind first-class so its almost like you're in first class without the food (since seat room is fine unless you're big), did I mention you get off the plane early which is often the most important part.
