CX flights CANNOT be searched for or booked online via Alaska's website. You must look at BA or Qantas' site to find CX availability and then call Alaska to book.

Not good advice! On what grounds is a chargeback supported? I couldn't get my award flight so I didn't want them anymore isn't going to hold much weight.

From the AS T&C
  • Miles are non-refundable and do not count toward MVP and MVP/Gold status.
Doing a chargeback is fraudulent and a good way to get your account shut down.

There won't be a shut down. I've had to do it at least a couple times at different programs and not once have I had any problems. And all chargebacks were approved (they almost always are). Very rarely does a CC side with a merchant.

Well at least the world now knows rules don't apply to everyone. Still bad advise! If you are willing to counsel someone else and there is an unfavourable outcome, you are a party to it! Just saying.

I am looking for JL J seats in March NRT-C1. I am not getting any availability to any gateway across multiple days. Have others experienced the same? EF shows plenty of seats

EF does not show JL award seats. If you are looking at revenue inventory it may not correlate to awards.

March is a popular time to visit Japan so it may be challenging. You might have a better chance looking for F at this point. I do see J BOS-NRT 3/6 and F JFK-NRT/HND or ORD-NRT on 3/7.

Wait, seriously? Great thing I just started subscribing to EF to set an alert for U space.

EF is mandatory for getting awards. It allows you to monitor selling levels, hence managing your expectations and helping you allocate time to manual checks. What you need now is awardnexus to email if/when space is available. EF and AN are best used in conjunction with one another.

Thanks. I have my ticket to Asia booked on CX in J (LAX-HKG-SIN), but I need to come back. I have one seat booked for my wife (KUL-NRT-DFW), but I cannot find ANY F/J seats FROM Asia to anywhere in C1.

EF does not show awards, but it shows general availability. JL is 9s all across most flights I saw in business, so I am thinking it is not a booking issue, but maybe JL has not released Premium seats to AS....
