I do think there's a need to rethink this service. If done correctly, hot towel (or cold) should provide a refreshing experience.... And many times, AS falls flat on this. Often it's either too wet or too dry, and sometimes stinky. Maybe they should change the vendor or perhaps hand out pre-packaged towel instead...

Enjoyed my hot towel on AS342 to OAK today. Nice and hot, not too wet, no strange smells.

I do really appreciate the hot towel, but it seldom seems to be quite damp enough. As for the odor, yes I noticed it but just thought it was deliberately scented with patchouli
Whether the towel is smelly or not, I always take the opportunity to wipe down my tray.
