As of now it is still listed as the last scheduled flight. Flight 66.

There is an article written about it on the Alaska Airlines blog. https://blog.alaskaair.com/alaska-ai...plane-retires/
However, the way it is written is a bit misleading...

After a weeklong fishing trip in Yakutat, Alaska, retired Captain David Olson found himself on one of the last flights of the 737-400 combis – a plane he piloted for two years straight when he first started flying for Alaska Airlines nearly 36 years ago.
The first 737-400 was not delivered to Alaska until 1992 and the combi conversions did not occur until 2006-2007, so there is no way he was flying that plane 36 years ago! They must have been referring to the 737-200 QCs, which were quite a different plane in the sense that they had cargo pallets and could be configured anywhere between a full cargo and a full passenger configuration.

Edited to add that I do see a section where they talk about the 737-200QCs further down in the article...

I also believe that before the B737-200 combis entered the AS fleet, the airline previously operated B727-100 combi aircraft (the -90C).

The final 737-400 (non-combi) is still flying, flights planned for a few days still:

Anybody heard any timeline on the final 737-400 flight?

Just to be clear - I don't mean the 737-400 Combi.

The Combi's are dead. Long live the combis!

Again - I'm looking for a date for Alaska's FINAL 737-400 flight.

Interesting. Thanks, UAPE! That jives with my research as well. As such, I'm booked on AS 064 all the way to Seattle that day. Let's hope the equipment holds up until then...

I'm scheduled on a -400 on the late night ANC departure to SEA on Oct 29. Looking forward to my last flight on a -400.

On Nov 4th I'm seeing AS64 as this -400 down the milk run, but not seeing anything on the 5th.

Final 737-400 passenger flight is Nov. 4th as UAPremierExec says. The final 737-400 flight should be in early Feb. 2018 (N709AS freighter).

Well shucks. Last night N767AS was subbed on our ANC-SEA in favor of going ANC-JNU-SEA. We got a -900ER.

Were those the last flights for the -400? Or is it still flying for a few more days?

Or will they be held onto thru the holiday season as operational spares?

Looks like AS kept N767AS going a couple more days. About to make her last (?) flight SMF-SEA.

I'll miss the classics!
