They don't wait for those anymore. BoA sends my wife new cards every few months even when nothing on them has changed.

I think they stated 40 aircraft will be repainted by end of 2016 so it will be quite a process to get things updated.

The carpeted bulkheads are being 'refreshed' according to a twitter rep. Im going to be sad to see them go if the end up going.
She also said all planes would eventually get the new livery--the Q400s slower than the 737s

Looks like the flight attendant drill team made an appearance!

Might have to try some of these moves with my TravelPro in the jetbridge!

Or perhaps he's now become "tipsy-acious" instead with the introduction of complimentary cocktails in the nice coach section....

I put together a side-by-side comparison of Chester's face before and after the refresh.
It certainly does look like he had a bit of a facelift.
(Odd, the image won't upload - here's a Twitter link to the post. )

One interesting tidbit from USA Today:
Quote:
Woerner also said that “close to the summer” Alaska will change the name of the lounges in Seattle, Portland, Anchorage and Los Angeles from the Board Room to the Alaska Lounge.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something about the paint job on the planes that I'm just not liking. I don't know if it's coming off as cartoony to me or if that combination of blue and green just doesn't feel like it works on a plane to me or what, but I'm not digging it. The new font also doesn't seem as...I dunno, "rugged" to me. I always liked the old font. I know that colour scheme isn't going to look good to me on the scimitar winglets. On things like the uniforms, packets, the standees in front of the counters, etc. it looks fine to me. Just the plane. And credit card. And only the part of the plane between the wing and the beginning of Chester. I actually like the colour scheme ensconsing chester on the tail. Which is probably contributing to me not really understanding why I'm not liking the other part of the paint job.
It's such a minor quibble to me it's barely worth mentioning, but I'm just not digging it. Course, I'm also quite sure Alaska doesn't care one whit what I think :P.

Jiburi
P.S. Color scheme reminds me of the graphics from the Vancouver Olympics.
