Stopovers on IntraAustralia Awards?

A question for the Alaska Airlines experts, please. Does Alaska Airlines allow a stopover on a Intra-Australia award on Qantas? For instance, can I book Sydney/Cairns (stopover)/Ayers Rock(destination)/Sydney on a single award ticket? Also, if stopovers are allowed, are Australia and New Zealand considered a single country for the Intra- awards so that Sydney/Christchurch(stopover)/Queenstown(destination)/Sydney could be booked on a single award ticket at the 25K coach level?

Some old threads found for you:

The big take-away from my perspective is that it's complicated. I'd just call up the partner desk and ask them.
