anyone w MVPG get their birthday discount coupon this year?
My birthday has come and gone and no email and no "sweet something" added to my discount coupon list
Am I alone on this, or is this the new normal?

An MVP data point...
My husband is MVP (not G) and got the birthday discount offer again this year. But this year the offer was good for 2 months instead of just 1 so he had time to use it. Saved us some money. I'm also MVP but did not get the offer.

FWIW, I've never gotten a birthday coupon, e-mail, or anything else for that matter. From previous threads in the past, it seems like it's a hit-and-miss thing. I think others have also said that the terms of the coupon (time frame and fare class) limit is usefulness.

I last got one about 2 years ago. About the same time, all my Insider/Newsletter emails stopped making it through, too. I figured the fact that half my AS emails were getting skimmed off before I ever saw them was the reason...but possibly not. I always found it funny that the Insider/Newsletter emails stopped coming through but the flight confirmations kept coming. Nothing was ever in my spam folder either. Hopefully, now that I'm getting the Insider/Newsletter emails again, I will end up with a birthday email/discount.

I got mine in Feb. and used it for a trip to ORD. The old brain doesn't work as well as it once did, but I do recall getting one last year also.

I've been a MP member since 1986, and started getting MVP back in probably about 2002 and gold since 2007. I've never gotten a birthday wish with or without a discount code from AS.
