InFlight Service Changes Effective Apr 1

Effective April 1, 2026

Prices for Picnic Packs and alcoholic beverages will be increased ($1 and $0.49, respectively) to align with latest market conditions. Note: for most of these items, Alaska will begin to match the prices at Delta, United, American, JetBlue, etc. After some light browsing, I found that the only airline with cheaper offerings is now Southwest. The following list will reflect the new prices on the effective date:
  • Wine/Sparkling: $9.99
  • Beer: $8.99
  • NA/Hop: $5.99
  • Spirits: $9.99
  • Canned Cocktails: $12.99
  • Deli/Tapas Packs: $9.99
  • Kid's Pack: $8.99
-------------------------------------------------

Straightaway Swap:

Pacific Paloma >>> Blanco Margarita

Welcome back Glen:

A while ago, Tequila returned to the inflight menu, eliminating Glenfarclas Scotch. Glen will be returning to the menu, both in First Class and Premium/Main Cabin.

First Class:

Wines will transition to Browne Family (Gigi's Garden). Features a White Blend and Red Blend.

-------------------------------------------------

For those debating on applying for a CC, keep an eye out for the new offer which officially begins April 1.

Alaska acknowledged feedback regarding Beecher's Mac & Cheese meals onboard and have addressed issues discovered during its initial launch (too dry and crusty). Keep the feedback coming!

Complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi will make its rollout debut this week for Alaska Mainline (737) aircraft. A MAX 8 is set to be the first aircraft from this rollout. You will need to watch a few short ads before using the system. NOTE: Alaska's "Over 800 free movies and shows" will no longer be offered on aircraft with Starlink Wi-Fi installed. Similar setup to Hawaiian flights on narrow-body aircraft. You can tell if the system is installed by the Wi-Fi network name "Free Wi-Fi on Alaskawifi.com."

I'm still curious when alignment between HA and AS metal in-flight service will begin (if ever)...will complimentary meals on Hawaii -mainland flights remain or go to the AS model of BOB?

April 25, flights on the B787 will be aligned with Alaska's service standards. There will be a nonstop from SEA-HNL so I assume that means it will be Alaska's current Hawaii service standard - which is to say, no free meals. I don't know that 100% but I'm pretty confident that's part of what "Alaska service standards" means.

Thanks for the update... assuming status quo (HA free meals) on the A321 and A330 flights? Speaking of HA metal flights, I realize it's pretty minor but I will miss the little juices with the foil lids on the inter-island flights since I know these flights (like SEA-PDX) are well below the AS threshold of 350 miles for beverage service.

Sad re no movies onboard soon. Guess I'll bring a book. And fill out alaskalistens.com with the wifi. It all started with the dig-e-player. Hey, maybe they can come back?

Awesome Glenfarclas is returning. As for the new canned cocktail- it'll make Jimmy Proud. As for that lost shaker of salt...

Is anyone actually receiving a response to Customer Care or Alaska Listens? I got a response in about 2-3 days from a HA Customer Care form but it's been crickets from AS even when I request a response.

I put in a kudos note to Alaska Listens and received a thank you note back 6-weeks later.

Ten bucks for the Mediterranean Tapas box that AFAIR cost $8 just two years ago is a bit much for what's in there, IMHO. I will continue to self-cater snacks when possible.

I remember when it cost $6 a few years earlier. Alaska used to have more reasonable BOB prices compared to other airlines.

I thought $8 for the Tapas box was a pretty fair deal, but $10 seems steep unless they beef it up with nicer chips or better dried fruit or something. $8 was really like $6.20 or whatever with the BOB card purchase bonus.

I do wish theyd go back to $.00 pricingits cleaner and more honest. L
