AS-HA Elite Status Match

My understanding, which is not gospel, is that the status match will be offered before Christmas. AS elites matched to Pualani Platinum will receive the two HA elite certificates but will not be eligible to earn additional certificates. They will be redeemable under current HA rules.

Thanks for this. Any indication of what they’re thinking in the other direction, eg whether HA EQM will count toward the AS 75k RDM bonus and 100k choice benefit?

I don't know for sure. I suspect that this one-time HA-AS status match will not earn the extra bennies. My guess is that combined HA-AS EQM may count towards the calculation of 2025 AS elite status, which would the earn the AS bennies. My understanding is that the math may not be done immediately in January because of all the moving parts.

I wonder if AS elites can earn miles directly into Mileage Plan when booking flights on the HA website and/or if you will be required to use your HA number when using these certificates.

At least until mid-year, I suspect HA number will be required (think VX).

Thanks again. Thats been my working assumption, and Ill make 75k organically if AS ever credits my last 4k from CC spend, but 100k will depend on combined EQMs and they havent been clear yet on whether that will generate the choice benefit. Hoping well at least get details and a timeline between now and Christmas.

I'm an AS nobody, but I have an HA inter-island flight early next year that I was planning to credit to AS for fun to see if the 500 minimum still applies. I called HA about a month ago to add my AS FFN to the reservation and they did, but it still showed up online as an HA FFN on the flight management page. As of today, it shows up as AS (I'm too new here to add a photo, sorry). In the guest info, AS also appears as an option in the drop-down menu now, but prompts to call HA reservations department to add it.

Trying to Status Match to Hawaiian Air. They are requesting all mileage activity but AS website only shows last 2 months of mileage activity. Is there something I'm missing on how to display all activity for the past year? Thanks for any info.

You're 100K, you'll have the opportunity to auto-match in a couple weeks.

Two weeks? You're more hopeful than me but I hope you're right... fingers crossed 🤞

When I manually status matched to Pualani Platinum about 6 weeks ago, I submitted my 2024 RDM flight history to show how I earned MVP Gold. (account -> mileage activity (filter for Air and last 12 months))

Per Alaska's website combined HA-AS EQM's will count towards status. "For example, if you're a HawaiianMiles Pualani Gold member who earned 20,000 elite-qualifying miles this year, and also have MVP status in Mileage Plan with 20,000 elite-qualifying miles earned this year, your combined EQM total of 40,000 means you'll be awarded Pualani Platinum status in HawaiianMiles and MVP Gold status in Mileage Plan for 2025."

In addition there is a table that states which status is earned for 2025 based on your combined EQM balance....

On the website you can change the filter at the top to show mileage activity for a longer period of time.
