Advice kindly sought re CX award seats ex-Europe to HKG with Alaskan miles

Many thanks for reading, firstly.

Would anyone have any experience or advice regarding the following:

Generally speaking, how good/seldom do people find award seat availability on Alaskan partner CX -- out of Europe (in most cases, ex-LHR) to HKG -- when calling Alaska MileagePlan? I ask mainly as my miles balance wouldn't be sufficient yet to afford my dream F class seats on Cathay, nor even business class seats as yet, and I just wanted to glean some advice about likely availability, when telephoning Alaskan, of such seats before I plump for purchasing Alaskan miles (given their bonus offer at the moment)? I'm essentially trying to avoid the situation of buying more miles before subsequently finding out that the chance of getting premium CX award seats is right up there with the chances of me burning LeBron one-on-one.

Of course, I appreciate that foreseeing award seat availability is not an exact science. But, from my experience of KrisFlyer and BAEC at least, then it does seem that some programmes have quite decent award seat availability consistently (SQ) and others fairly abject availability (BA).

As such, I was just curious about others' experiences of trying to book CX first/business award seats, ex-Europe, when calling Alaska and also how many weeks/months in advance would be advisable to improve chances of securing seats? With KrisFlyer, for instance, availability is pretty strong on many routes consistently from just under a year out up to even just a few days out; whereas, in my experience at least, BA can have little availability less than 10 months out on long haul, ex-Europe routes.

Any advice would be gratefully received! Many thanks once again.
