PTY - Royal Tocumen Lounge - Priority Pass - Landside
I am gradually getting to the point of a real report for the Trip Reports forum, and this is essentially practice for me.
This lounge has not been reviewed elsewhere as far as I can find. I had an 8 hour layover at PTY, and it is easy to go through immigration, so I thought I'd try this lounge out for the sake of fellow FTers. The bottom line, don’t bother. Pleasant staff and nicely decorated for Christmas is where it ends. At 7 or so in the morning, you’d think that juice, water, maybe some yogurt or fruit would be available. Nope. Lounge does not stock juice and you have to ask for water and coffee, and it will be brought to you (pleasantly). The meager amount of food that was out looked as if it had been out for awhile, none was breakfast related (except a few cold cuts), and all was on a non-refrigerated surface.
In addition, it is very a small physical space. If you had a roller bag with you, someone could not pass you in the aisle. There is no workspace and plugs are very limited. The lounge does contain a unisex restroom. Internet speed was OK.
Off to the Copa lounge, airside.
I’ve included a few pics (still figuring out the photo thing...sorry for the inconsistency):
