Priority Pass Check-Ins
During check-ins on priority pass lounges, I notice that they ask and check for boarding pass.
What is the main purpose for this?
Thanks

I have a few theories:
- To identify who you are, and that the pass actually belongs to you
- To ensure you are a traveler. Otherwise, if you worked at the airport, it would be a no-brainer to sign up to get free food and drink everyday
- To prioritize guests. If you are flying the airline of said lounge, you may get priority access.
- Contract specifies that the program is only for outgoing guests. Should seek to minimize costs as travelers won't be heading to lounges before and after to snag some food and drink.

Some lounges have time limits on visitation (e.g. 3 hour maximum stay) If you arrive 4 hours before your flight then they may not be willing to let you in or will want to remember your face for later ;-)
