I've a PP through Amex Plat & would like to know If my dad wo has the same First & Last name can use my PP card & check into lounges while he's travelling? There's not MI on the card so I'm assuming it should be ok If he uses it. Can someone please confirm?

Are you serious? A special rule of transferability for someone who happens to have your same name? Of course not. It's "okay" in that your dad will likely get away with it, but obviously it's not okay in terms of the rules.

Just add him as an authorized user to your Amex Plat and he'll get centurion access along PP access.

It's people like this who are causing issues with overcrowding:

This woman brought in 18 guests into the lounge with her. How is that even decent?
They should just ask guests to pay a fee, limit the priority pass only to the holder - that's it. It would solve most of the problems.

PP was fantastic in Portland (PDX) today! Stopped at Capers Cafe Le Bar for lunch, and the $56 was enough for two entrees, two sodas, two desserts, and one glass of wine, with a few bucks left over (I could have grabbed another dessert I guess!).
From there, we checked in at the Alaska Lounge which was not too crowded so there was no guest issue -- despite having a sign outside the lounge mentioning capacity limits. At some point, I left my wife at the AS lounge and visited House Spirits Distillery for a $28 (four) whiskey flight + (two) cocktails. That's $84 in food/bev, plus whatever you value the Alaska lounge at.

Luckily in my routes I haven't experienced overcrowding at all or any of the other complaints here with PP lounges. Normally I use a * lounge (usually UAL) but when I go to a PP one it's normally 25% full.
I use lounges in order of * first......Centurion second......PP last.

It's a great airport, even w/o PP. Easy to navigate, and they have two top notch coffee vendors - Stumptown and Portland Roasting Coffee. I love seeing an airport where the Starbucks is relegated to a mid-concourse kiosk while a proper (roast their own) shop like Stumptown is front and center upon clearing Concourse C security
What a ... poor excuse for a woman. In equal parts for guesting 18 people, and for making a "clickbait" Facebook post about it as screenshot in the link you provided.

... and thanks to PreCheck, I'm generally arriving 45-60 mins before my flight leaves, so I'm usually only in the lounges when my flight is hugely delayed, but on the 3-5 times I have been this year (SJC/PDX/... one more I can't remember, maybe PHX?), I haven't been turned away.

Was at MAN airport on Sept 22. Sign at entrance to lounge said it was at capacity. Two different guests in front of me talked to the desk agent, then walked off. I asked the agent what my options were. She said "give me your cell phone number and we will call you when space is available." I told her I did not have a cell phone which was true. She then escorted us into the lounge.
