Silver Status
Came dangerously close to getting AirNZ Gold last year, but just missed it.
Now my Silver has expired and also I have let my Koru lapse.
I wont be doing enough flying this year to get back close to Gold, but I am in situation where if I book a $300 flight to go to the office for a day I will earn Silver
I'm just debating whether there is really any point in doing that or if I should just stump up the $600 to join Koru for a year,
Silver status seems weirdly pointless, the Upgrades I earned last time just got declined and 2 visits to Koru isnt amazing
Thoughts?

And also when you travel, will you be hitting a meal time and be able to use lounge instead of a cafe or restaurant.

As a lowly silver, 100% just get Koru. It's really hard to use a RU when most flights ex-AKL have Gold and Elites requesting upgrades, and the 2x lounge vouchers aren't worth all that much. No other benefits really.
With Koru, you also get lounge, extra baggage, priority, premium check-in, so there's a fair few benefits.
