How many 777s are retrofitted with wifi?
Is there a doc or chart anywhere? Wondering about chances of wifi on upcoming leg from Auckland-LAX.

No idea but the Air NZ App will tell you before your flight if you will have Wifi - aircraft swap outs are quite common however.

AKL to IAH 777 has wifi both ways.

Not always. Depends on the aircraft. Not all have the same ETDO rating.

When I flew this route recently the app showed wifi listed on board, but ended up with ZK-OKM which hasn't been retrofitted.

The same thing has happened to me. Just because it says you'll have WiFi doesn't mean you can rely on that being true.
