In flight wifi
Hi all. Am currently trialling the ANZ in flight WiFi from over the Pacific.
Works well on all apps, websites and email so far. Good speed (~3g rate).
Guy setting it up says likely to roll out early next year. Well done

Thanks for the update.
Does it work with VPNs? This would be an essential requirement for a lot of people to be able to use it for work related tasks, however at the same time it could be used for people to be able to bypass blocks on VOIP applications like Facetime / Skype, etc.

I was in J on NZ-OKP last Monday AKL-MEL and a select number of passengers were given test cards - the FSM was distributing these from the customer manifest printout so passengers had been preselected. I imagine this may have been at least in part based upon seat position to ensure coverage area ok.

Personally I quite like NOT having wifi on trans-pacific flights. I can have several hours of R&R when I am not contactable no matter how urgent people think something is.

NZ2 OKP.
used on and off all night. Browsing and email ok - pretty slow, but useable. Doesn’t seem to like either of my two works Microsoft exchange servers - keep getting ‘invalid security certificate’ message back from server.
