AKL-EZE *A Availability

Curious if anyone has experience booking this route with United award miles. I'm reading that Air NZ typically has very limited *A award seats, but I thought I'd ask for a more standard long haul, as opposed to AKL-NAN or some other strictly tourist route. I can't seem to get it to show up anywhere for any dates. Cheers.

EZE has better availability in premium cabin than almost all other NZ longhaul route, but does not operate every day.

I can't even find availability in Y (UA miles) for 2018. Don't they ever release seats?

I think they release the absolute minimum the *A requires to be a member airline. They don't need to release reward seats for Airpoints members, as APD can be used to buy any seat on any flight. As APD can be used as an alternative to NZD in the checkout process. So NZ are only releasing the reward seats for *A not their own members.
