787 Premium economy seating

Quick question on the 787 premium economy seating.. for those who have traveled in it, does the last row have the same amount of recline?

Thanks

Yes.

My pick is the middle row.

Don't go first row as the screens are fixed on the wall and hard to see. I'd recommend a window seat as you can cocoon yourself better

Thanks - any reason you pick middle over last?

Right next to the galley.

The front is annoying because of the screen issue - you can't reach them easily when reclined and they're a bit small for the distance.

I've been in all 4 rows. I would only eschew the bulkhead because of the screen issue. But all are fine, recline-wise.

I would also give the bulkhead a miss on the 787.

The pitch to the bulkhead might be the same as the other seats but there is no cutout for feet and legroom is definitely less than the other rows.

I once grabbed a bulkhead at check-in as there was a spare seat beside me. Swapped back to one of the other rows on the plane due to legroom. First time ever I have given up a window seat with a spare seat beside me!

Thanks, very helpful. The flight is the day flight back from Hawaii so will stick with the last row, any galley noise shouldn't be an issue during the day.

Interesting about the bulkhead IFE, I got the impression the screen was far away from the photos and good to have that confirmed (especially since they charge you for the privilege of that row)

Air NZ 789 is a total of 21 PE seats in 3 rows. I've been on all three and prefer row 25. But goes to show that individual preferences matter rather than recommendations

If you are on bulkhead, then use the remote control to navigate (old school DVD style menus) unless you have long arms. Benefit of this is you are less likely to step over the person who is reclined.
