Status points on mixed fares

When doing a dummy trans-Tasman booking for 2 pax, the potential status points double from when we look at seat only, vs seat/seat and bag mix.
Is it realistic to expect a jump from 50SP to 104SP just for adding a ban for one fare?

Have shut the laptop. Mid to high $300s each way. School holidays in July.

50-60 SP sounds realistic for a TT economy ticket, even when you're paying a high price - this is due to the taxes etc that are part of the ticket which are a big proportion of the cost coming back from Aus.

104 sounds like a glitch to me.

Yeah, My partner has just come back from a weekend in Melbourne and netted 60SP. It seems strange that when you go from 2x Seat or 2x Seat+bag fares, to one of each, the SP earn jumps significantly. Have just tried this on a ZQN-AKL booking and the expected SPs are roughly doubled so is not only on TT flights.
May do this on the next Auckland trip just for a laugh and see if it is accurate.

Does it matter which option is selected first?

Surely a glitch.

Auckland to Christchurch, 2 adults.

Both seat only, $69 - 1 APD, 8 SP
One seat, one seat+bag - 2 APD, 16 SP
Both seat+bag, $79 - 1 APD, 8 SP

Can go back and forth over and over and still get the same result.
