New BizPremier amenities?

Dear everyone, I will be flying NZ between NRT and AKL in March of this year. By any chance, are there any updates regarding the J class amenities? I have read on this board that new amenity kits and sleep wear will be introduced. Any recent experiences? A million thanks.

When I toured the 777-300 in CHC yesterday the new BP amenity kits were on display.

They have stripey coloured socks, eyeshades, dental kit, ear plugs & La Prairie moisturiser/lip balm etc. (You can view a small pic on the futuretakingflight.com website under 'onboard events' - top right of screeen - then select 'onboard services').

Definitely no mention of the introduction of sleepwear.
I didn't ask, but they certainly weren't there for viewing.

Perhaps what you read on here about sleepwear was a rumour only?

Someone showed a photo of the people in special pjs onboard the new 777-300 on Air New Zealand. I looked in the forum and couldn't find the link to it. I think that's where the discussion of PJs is coming from.

Yes, I do remember that pic (can't remember the link either though).

But I am thinking that maybe that was just a crew pic (for publicity purposes when the 777-300 was delivered to NZ)?

I.e. it may not be the 'usual' to expect these on NZ?

I would be happy if NZ did issue PJ's, but let's just say that at this stage I'm not holding my breath!

You mean this post by a newcomer gadling who for a first time post linked to his journalist site that contained a link to a photo gallery that contained this photo?
I do not know if the post broke FT rules but I am interested to see if his promised video gets made.

Actually, quite a few people in those pics were wearing the same PJs and there was even a comment on that link stating that NZ was introducing new amenity kits and PJs.

Any NZ crew members here? Please share your knowledge.

The author of that link wrote: "Several business premiere passengers show off the pajamas included in the business premiere amenity kits."

Socks are easily one-size-fits-all.

OZ, NH, LH slippers are 100% worthless to me regardless of whatever "large" size they provide. I wear men's size US14/Europe48-49. Even if I were size 11/45 I don't think they'd fit.

I can see your problem! I take a US size 10/10.5 and find the OZ slippers fit OK... Of course I'm not going jogging in them! Just to the aircraft bathroom... where they actually provide some protection from "wet" floors... unlike the socks...
