Same, My mind was like um what flight am I on. Lucky I had my mPass on my iphone so I could look it up.

I had real trouble this morning getting in to the AKL KC with my ePass, I take it once you have a boarding pass now, you can't use your ePass?

Same here. What a pain.
Isn't this part of the point of having an ePass in the first place???

It is ridiculous, I wouldn't expect anyone other than a travelnerd (i.e. anyone who doesn't use this site) to remember that. I wonder how that adds anymore security-anyone devious enough to steal your epass to travel under your name would be able to work out that detail quite easily anyhow.

I guess it makes the epass useless if you don't have lounge access (i.e. silver).

Does this mean you can't just show up at the gate with epass for boarding?

If true I'll be skipping the kiosks all together and heading straight to the premium check-in desk (or the lounge). Sounds like too much hassle to me.

where did you have to entre your flight number? kiosks?

i used my epass at kiosks to print out my boarding pass(es), entre nothing apart from scan my epass, same at the AKL and WLG lounge and at the gate.

the gatepass now printes out NZ*E, but the 'normal' boarding passes still only prints NZ*G

Kiosk in CHC wouldn't work at all with my ePass this afternoon, although interestingly the slip it printed telling me to go and see someone at the counter did show my flight number on it, which I hadn't had to enter. Guy at the counter couldn't find any reason for it not working.

Sounds like there may be some teething problems with the update perhaps?

I've just come through security at AKL. I went straight to the KC when my ePass allowed me entry with a "g'day serfty" and no further ado.

I'll try again at the gate when I board in 30 minutes and see what happens then. (I have not been near any other check-in device/terminal/method.)

*Maybe these posts belong in their very own thread?

Adding my many experiences since the change - looks like a one off (dud [not to be confused with DUD] machine?).
