PromoAwards (not) Basically Gone !
No need to visit website in the near future - NO AWARDS NOW.
Copied from website:
Available exclusively online and regularly updated, all Promo Awards@ are subject to availability, so book now to be sure you don’t miss these great offers! For your convenience, all of the Promo Awards@ and airline offers have been grouped by continent. (NOW NONE !)
Perhaps some awards by X-mas? I trust that other airlines will be happy with my business!

The page is empty on the Flying Blue site, not on the KLM site.
I was always able to book Promo's. Just came back from a trip to DXB for a mere 30K miles in J (and E400 in taxes and surcharges of course).
If KLM/AF decides to withdraw the promo's it has eliminated the last attraction for me to collect miles and I will move to OW entirely.

There are still promo awards advertised, whether or not they are available you would have to see by booking.
If you have luck booking one let us know if your taxes and surcharges come to less than the value of a fully paid ticket.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is now a $500 PromoAward surcharge for all award bookings...

No, no. You have been misguided by the fact that KLM only updates its website once every century. The Flying Blue site is completely void of any promoawards. It even states: "Unfortunately no Promo Awards@ available at this moment."
So it is official. I am guessing they have gone for this (fiscal) year...

I just booked a oneway DXB-LCY (LHR also avail) in Business for 15K on AF for Sept 2.
When going through the booking it said the amount of points have changed from 30K to 15K so this must be some PromoAward-- it is deifferent from the one listed now as that is only KLM and finishes August 31.
Maybe there are some PromoAwards loaded just not announced???

So the game is now to fish for these awards, that seem to exist, but aren't advertised ? How does that make sense ?

So the flying blue news website lists no WEB promos - big deal.
Did anyone actually go to the KLM / AF pages ?
Because they are certainly listed there ?
Although of course they all expire today - I see no reason why these will not continue, and a new batch announced shortly !

Well, lets hope this is just a temporary glitch.
Maybe there were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many cities that AF/KL wanted to onclue as Promo Awards, that they couldn't fit them all on the page, so they initiated a committee to vote on which lucky cities will be blessed with the exalted 'Promo Award' status for Sep/Oct.
Yeah, now that I think about, that can be the only plausible explanation...yeah, must be!
