Flying Blue Phone line...incredibly helpful!
Thanks to the fact that the OL booking facility for Flying Blue is crap if you are wanting to use anything other than KL or AF, or are flying from anywhere other than AMS or CDG, I called the FB helpline to try and get business seats to San Jose, Costa Rica. Throughout this whole process I cannot praise them highly enough.
First the lady went through checking what was available for Guatemala, Costa Rica and Honduras and then made sure business was available for all legs - where it wasn't she came up with suitable alternatives every time. none of this could be done online. Even when I called back a couple of days later to change one piece of the itinerary, no problem. There was then a credit card problem (banks fault not FB's) - that was smoothed over very quickly too.
I know a lot of people take a pop at helpdesks in general so I thought it was time they got praise when they deserved it!
