Connecting 2 award flights

Connecting 2 award flights
Looking at JFK-CDG-ZNZ.
There is AF0007 JFK-CDG (landing at 8AM) for 50k miles pp that can connect to 10.30AM AF0876 CDG-ZNZ at 63K miles. But the system is not parsing the two flights together, and instead giving me different flights with much worse routing and much higher mileage. Chatting with FB didn't help.
Thoughts?
