Information when upgrading app
Just upgraded my KLM and got this info:
What does it mean? I thought gold and plats where always allowed to bring guests to the lounge

Are you sure it's not specifically relating to some new in-app feature, whereby the identified "travel companion" gets some kind of notification in their app that allows them to access the lounge (or maybe just to "inform" them of your wish to guest them in?)

No idea.. Just updated the app and got the message... Perhaps its what you say.. Maybe someone traveling these days can enlighten us about this

Is there currently a policy for allowing a guest in who arrives sometime later than you, after you've already checked in?

I've been guested to lounges with a later arrival than the host without issue, although not the KLM Crown lounge.

But it would be nice if your "guest" could enter the lounge before you got there.
of course, people would abuse that system, booking fully refundable tickets, issuing their "invitation" to their colleague - and then cancelling the ticket as soon as the colleague has left the lounge to board the flight you never intended to accompany them on
