Does status qualification follow calendar year or include 1st Quarter?

Hi

I'm 2 flights away from getting Gold status which I could squeeze in for this year, but will be difficult to make. I can see my current Silver membership last through March 2018 and have flown 28 flights during 2017, will I then have to take the remaining flight this year to get Gold, or will I get Gold status also, if the 2 flights are taken in January

Calendar year always (until next years changes).

The grace period on your card is to give FB time to process very-late-in-year flights and send you a replacement card.

I think you meant a new card (for the new year) rather than a replacement card.

Well it replaces your old card but yes. It's not a replacement card for the old one, but a new one with new expiry, rather. True.

It's not "grace period" for just that, you have the full status until that.
