Just now through the app: KL1110 ARN - AMS, €172 from Y to J, whilst 5/8 J seats are free and 9(+) Y seats still free...

Obviously I did not take it for such a short flight whilst being in row 5 right behind the curtain.

But Premium Eco on AF is a separate class, so Y to J on AF is indeed a double upgrade.

And whilst I have no reason to doubt the OP, that remains quite unbelievable.

oh yes of course. I thought of KLM.

Indeed unbelievable when the flight is not oversold and as a Silver FB member. Miracles do happen apparently.

Indeed, miraculous. A double upgrade happened only once to me (IIRC). That was many years ago on ORD-CDG, but I was already LTPE at that time.

11th Feb BLR-CDG, £236 or 36000 miles at OLCI (only revealed when I checked the seat availability on the app). 10.5 hr flight, so took the cash option for myself and colleague.

CDG-LIN at OLCI: EUR 329 (no kidding). 9 seats left at that price

Admittedly my ticket must be in the lowest booking class that there is. I was looking into buying CDG-LIN/BUD-CDG in Business, fare was 1,600 EUR. I checked Economy, I got it for 188 EUR. Which may explain the high upgrade price.

For the return leg which is in a few weeks, for the first time ever in my entire flying career with AF I have an offer to upgrade the flight using miles or money.
