Got to the check in desk and asked for upgrade availability, initially the agent said I would have to standby, but she called her supervisor and said that I could confirm straight away. Price was still 499EUR as offered at OLCI

FCO-NBO KQ128 today, we were 6 people including me in J, about 30 people in Y and upgrades were not offered at airport check in at all (I asked what if I was, somehow 
in Y)...Weird. However the flight was superb. Since A to Z.
