Did the price in US$ include all the taxes and insurance?
Default on avis.com is US resident and unless you change that it
usually doesn't.
In my experience, for rentals in the UK you get the best prices
on Avis.com or Avis.co.uk
Be aware that if renting on a weekend, a weekend is defined as
4 days between Thursday and Tuesday at noon,
i.e. if you rent Fr 12:30 to Tue 12:30 it will cost you A LOT more
than Fr 12:00 to Tue 12:00

Holy Macaroni!
Since they repeat the promotion I thought that maybe they have fixed the IT problems ,
so against better judgement I decied to give it a try with 2 rentals, they posted like this
the 100 is the Gold/Plat bonus:
PROMOTION AVIS 2100
CAR RENTAL AVIS 500
PROMOTION AVIS 100
CAR RENTAL AVIS 500
These 2 rentals were at stations where I rented last year and didn't get any bonus.

Yes I see that the UK reservation included all the taxes and some insurance but not all. I suppose that is to reduce the deductable..
Would they still recognise me as Avis First / Preferred? I can just pick up my keys right?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Got nothing for the 3rd rental
Dear Mr Hannibal Lecter
Thank you for visiting the Avis missing miles\points internet site.
Your claim has been rejected due to the rental rate category used for your rental being invalid for claiming miles\points.
If you have any queries regarding your claim please contact your dedicated membership programme customer services department.
Thank you for renting with Avis, and sorry you were not able to earn miles\points on this occasion.
For any future rental, don't forget to enter your membership number direclty at time of booking or car pick up.
Of course you can still claim your missing miles\points after the rental online.
Kind regards and have a save trip!
Your Avis
I did not enter a rate cote myself, my understanding is that the AWD you use will bring up an associated rate code.
I have not paid attention to this before because I have always gotten the base points with Avis, but with Hertz it's
quite a problem.

Hi all,
my first contribution : It is working well for me
I use to book through avis.de which basicaly shows much cheaper rates that avis.fr (you can also use avis.it or avis.es) and also brings unlimitted mileage where avis.fr limits you to 150 km a day I believe.
Anyway, for this Avis accumulator, using AWD code F983000 (FB Platinium) gives you 15% rebate if you book a 3 days rental and you comply to the get the extra miles accumulator.
For Gold members I believe AWD code is F986000 (10% rebate)
Normaly I get 2100 + 500 miles for each 3 days rental.
At the 3rd rental, mid April, instead of 2100 I got a 5100 reward.
The 4th rental I got 7600, the 5th was 14100 and now I received a BIG 20100 ^
I never forget to check my FB card number on the avis rental form !

Should the bonus post at the same time as the 500 base miles? If so, I'm screwed on the second one and third is pending. I will dispute the charges with my credit card if they put me through any bs. No more AVIS rentals until the dust settles.
