Hi,

What route did you fly? Not all routes qualified for this bonus.

CDG-OTP (boring, I know)

It was, in any case, not an unpleasant experience.

I'm afraid that route doesn't qualify for the bonus since it is also operated by AF. I know, it makes little sense, but the list only included routes not served by any other Skyteam airline.

It was the same with VN, I believe.

Sorry to bump this 8 year old thread, but I couldn’t find another one more suitable

I’ll be flying Tarom next week (BUD > OTP > CLJ > OTP > BUD) in Y

How similar is Tarom to other European carriers? (LH/LX/etc)

I appreciate that these are all short flights

Many thanks in advance

Pretty much the same - although generally RO's fleet is much older.

Expect in both flights a sandwich and drinks round. No alcoholic drinks anymore on intra-Romanian flights but you can get a beer or some wine on international flights. If lucky there might be an additional coffee/tea run on the BUD flights.

If you fly the domestic flight on one of the narrowbody planes instead of a turboprop make sure you OLCI at exactly T-30 and grab the front seats. If lucky and the plane is operated by one with proper biz class seat (for example older 737s) you can take those as there is no J service on domestic flights otherwise you'll still have the middle seat blocked if for example an A318.

Another note is that domestic flights in RO earn 2x the normal XP with Flying Blue.
