Flying AF for first time-no seat access DL metal?

Hello everyone

I did some searching and did not see anything about this so here I go.

I am excited to be flying AF for the first time to
DTW-CVG-CDG-LHR-CDG-ATL-DTW

Three segements are operated on DL metal, (including CDG-ATL) and AF
says they cannot access the seating and are unable to assign me a seat (i am a sky team elite member)?? Has anyone else experienced this before, and does anyone know how I might be able to pick my seats on the portions of the AF flight operated by DL (I would rather not wait until check-in and end up in a seat that doesn't recline etc)?

Thanks for your help!

I understand you're buying your tickets under AF flight numbers. 'Elite seat pre assignment' is clearly a SkyTeam perk and is not restricted to FB Elites.

The best thing to do is to call DL and ask them for a seat assignment on the DL operated segments.

Yes I bought my tickets via the AF web site. Hopefully DL will be able to access my reservation using the AF confirmation number (the DL website did not recognize it).

Thanks!

I found it never a problem calling Delta and assigning the seat in the past.
