Folks, with Frequence Plus a one-way econ (N) from DUB to LCY on Air France used to give me 1000 base plus 500 bonus (the Rouge 50%) - a nice happy 1500 miles. It has been that way right up till last Friday.
With Flying Blue, the same flight (last Tueday morning) now gets me 187 base plus 140 bonus (the Gold 75%) - a very unhappy 327 miles. "Generous by nature" I think not.
My last Air France reward cost 50,000 miles - earned in just under 17 round-trips. Under "Generous By Nature" Flying Blue, I'll need to make 153 round trips.
Could my "Reliable Airline" and my "Making the Sky the Best Place on Earth" airline really have intended that ?
Has anyone else been similarly shafted by this new FB regime ?
In the past I've always said I'd steer clear of Ryanair between Ireland and the UK - might be time to give them another look.

Generous by nature actually sums of the new FB scheme pretty nicely. If the nature of your miles is a cheap ticket, then you get what you paid for. If the nature of your miles is an expensive FC ticket, then you get what you paid for, too.

yep ...
they reduced miles earning for some booking classes
here is the list:
Medium haul :
G, U ==> 50%
N ==> 25%
Long haul & COI :
G, U ==> 50%
L ==> 25%
But they rose level awards (75% for Gold and 100% for Plat) and being an Irish resident you can get Plat with 70000 statut miles.
I suggest you to book E class instead of N. For example the fare EAPIE costs 95EUR against 80EUR for NAPIE. You'll get 1750 Miles with your gold and soon 2000 with your plat
... for 15EUR more ... wait a minut before leaving for Ryan ...
I need 90000 miles to become plat as a French resident and that's a shame !!!!
Regards,
Luc

my mistake .. but still still for a c class ticket intercontinentally costing thousands of euros and only giving 50% bonus when it used to be 100% on kl !! , what part of generous by nature is that !!!
