AF 23

LAX to CDG on AF 23. Why is there a charge for Seats 49, 50 and 51? Is there really that much more leg room and room next to fuselage?

AF charges extra for duo seats in the back because they're duo seats. So only two on the outboard sides instead of the usual 3-4-3, so if you're travelling with someone, you have 2 seats to yourself.

There is no extra legroom in these rows.

If I remember correctly, only a little bit. Don't get too excited, perhaps you can slide a laptop bag there.
