YYZ-CDG 11:30pm Departure: Dinner or Breakfast?

It will be dinner and it will be shortened. Recently flew DTW-CDG with a 10:00 p.m. departure. Did drinks, then brought tray with appetizer and dessert. After finishing appetizer, dish was removed and dinner was set on tray. Once done with dinner, everything was removed.
Dinner was done about 1 hour after departure. I would call the pace brisk, but not rushed. For me, I wanted to go to sleep ASAP, so the brisk pace did not bother me,
