HOP! becomes Air France HOP
It may come as no surprise following the demise of Joon and the speculation the last few days, but Hop will evolve and become Air France HOP instead of dissapearing completly.

I like what BS is doing so far, this makes a lot more sense.
Hopefully, he will be able to get Transavia under a single group and stop the silly difference between Transavia FR and NL.
I'm waiting to see the fleets decisions which will come next as the single-aisle fleets of both KLM, KLC, AF and AF Hop will need to see orders placed.

I always knew that Hop ! was the AF subsidiary, didn't find it that confusing. I've flown them a LOT being based in Germany.
I hope the LYS direct routes stay though, so folks in France don't always have to fly somewhere else via Paris.

We have moved full cycle from "HOP! Air France" to "HOP" and "Air France HOP" (no ! anymore).
So far, it is only a name change. But rumors suggest the quick disappearance of A5 code and even of the HOP! website (with a direct link to the main AF website).
It makes so much sense.

- YUL served by several daily flights : if I take flight AF XXX, I have the classical full service but if I take the next AF YYYY flight, I have a degraded service. Hardly understandable, knowing that the price is the same between the 2 flights
- BKK (not anymore served by COI but it was still the case recently) : if I fly to BKK, I have a degraded service, but if I fly to nearby SGN (same price), I have the full AF service. How can this be justified ?
This is just another inconsistency.
As a reference, here is a thread I started 6 years ago on this subject, and we are still debating about the same problem !
I don't understand some aspects of the C.O.I. product

AF Hop - A5 -> AF coding - Other ST FFP miles accrual?
Hi,
Seems that the Canadian got the point, hopefully A5 flights will be only AF coded soon and flights will be eligible for segments accrual on other ST FFP + STE+ benefits available.
Would be a motivation to fly out from PRG to any other FR provincial airport rather than commuting by CDG 😀
