Equipment swap to JFK?

I recently booked a R/T flight JFK-ZRH, and chose my flights specifically to get the reverse herringbone seats on the 772 in business. I was checking the seat map for my flight home this morning, and while the equipment still shows a 772 (V2) on the AF app and website, the seat map itself shows an A332, and I've been reassigned from 2L to 2J. This is AF8 on 8/26. Sad face

I checked Flightaware and AF doesn't seem to send their A332s to JFK... any idea why the equipment swap and if it will likely hold?

Indeed not lucky
a dummy booking on the AF app indeed shows an A332 for your day of travel and the day before only. Hard to know the reason, but could be a scheduled maintenance operation.

I think I'm in the same boat as you the night before (8/25) on AF9. I booked my ticket through DL and messaged their twitter who replied they are still seeing a 772 but that it could have changed.

Fingers crossed this is reverted back to the 772!

Edit: is there any chance that the A332s will be reconfigured? I recall reading that they were supposed to be getting their new lay flat seats starting Summer 2017. I did a quick forum search but didn't see a dedicated forum with the timelines for the AF A332s. Does Google Flights commonly mislabel the seat type?

Edit2: Found this thread for the A332 retrofit discussion. Does anyone know if they've started any of the retrofits or if it is still slated for end of 2017?

no they have not started to retrofit the A332 fleet yet. And the thread you have quoted is not the one with the most up-to-date information. You should look at this one :
