La Premiere Connection Assistance/Escort at JFK?

I've got a BOS-JFK-CDG ticket coming up later this month, and was wondering if Air France offers any kind of escort or connection assistance when arriving on DL and connecting to La Premiere on the same ticket. It's a paid ticket if that makes any difference.

Not to my knowledge. On the way back they will often escort you through immigration and luggage pick up but not beyond.

Thanks for the reply. I assume it's the AirTrain to connect then, yes?

Yes, from T4 to T1. The good thing is that you'll get the escort through security at T1. This security check-point in JFK1 is the worst I know in the US. Always crowded and super-messy. And the priority lane is a complete joke (true at most US airports, but this one beats the record).

I was escorted to the AirTrain station when I arrived in JFK a few days back.

To be honest, I don't find it worse than many others, even probably a bit better. Even at JFK, I typically wait much longer at the T8 one (AA terminal), and I have had various worse ones at MIA, LGA, DCA, LAX domestic terminals and a few others where the "priority" queues are typically three times the length of the regular queues.

Does AF already participate in TSAPre?

AFAIK, LH is the only European one to participate and that is quite recent.

I think that's right and am certain that AF doesn't.

Yes AF does offer an escort all the way through security and up to the lounge at JFK. And there is a room in the lounge reserved for Premiere pax.

What you have to do is walk outside to the AF terminal and go to La Premiere check in. It's a short and easy walk. I did it carrying my bags. From that point I was escorted all the way through. No need for Pre-Check as you cut the line.

Oh, but that is significant as LH also operates from JFK T1, which up until now has not even had a Pre-√ line. If it gets one, then AF passengers originating on DL with DL issued boarding passes (ie: those connecting XXX-JFK-CDG) may be able to get Pre-√ into T1.

But it would be better if AF joined Pre-√, especially for me since I usually originate at JFK

The op's question was about escort from their DL arrival in T4 though, which is not offered. AF will only take care of them from the AF P check in as you rightly confirm.

Won't happen. The operating carrier needs to be part of the TSAPre programme.

I just got off a DL flight and reading the in-flight magazine I was reminded that I did not bother with the Skytrain, nor should most people making such a connection. They have a jitney leaving from a couple of points between T4 and T2. So take that, then make the 1 minute walk between T2 and T1 and see the excellent staff at La Premiere check in.

That assumes Delta will let you on the shuttle/jitney without a boarding pass for T2 (I have no specific reason to believe they won't).
But certainly if you come in to the far end of T4 it would likely be quite a bit faster to take the shuttle to T2 and then walk over to T1. That walk from the end of T4 is interminable!
