What % of JFK-CDG flights have new J?

If I were to fly AF007 in March (March 7), what are the chances for the new J? I am deciding between that flight or a DL flight with flat seats. I would prefer AF overall if I am certain to have a new J flatbed, but otherwise I'll fly DL over the embarrassing J product AF has been offering.

You are certain NOT to get BEST on A380 and A330. You should (pending equipment change) get it on AF10/11 and AF 8/9.
As AF007 is scheduled with A380, you will not get the new J.

Hmmm, maybe I'll just book a Prime award from YUL through AMS instead.

Do the KLM TATL flights from YUL have genuine flat beds yet?

YUL-AMS is usually operated by A333.
You will not get a flat bed but an angled seat similar to NEV3. They advertise a 172 angle, but that is only for the most horizontal cushion; legs have a much steeper incline.
So that's not the solution for you

Is the A330 on the JFK - CDG route supposed to be switched to a B777 in the future? I think it is operated as AF23 from JFK to CDG.

It is a A330 on 10/24/16 but becomes a B777-200 on 10/31/2016. Just wondering if this a permanent switch down the road (i.e. on B777 and A380 to JFK) or seasonal.

AF22/AF23 switches from A330 to B777-200 depending on the season.

No, but they are on Prime, so it'll be less than 50k miles.

AF23 is a 773 with new first and business now and on op travel date.

My only warning for this flight is the timing. Departing at 4:30pm on a 6 hours flight is pretty much a late afternoon flight for me, and sleeping is not an option.

If you are a Parisian returning from NY, this is excellent timing. It departs at 10:30pm your time and lands early enough to avoid traffic to get into Paris and your home (also little traffic to get to JFK). But If you are American going into Paris, the timing is indeed akward and requires booking an additional hotel night so that you can get your room when you arrive at hotel around 7am.
